This past week, we tried all of the new recipes that I had on our menu plan. We thought they were all OK, but none of them were so outstanding that we wanted to have them again soon. I much prefer simply sauteeing asparagus rather than the boiling and baking that the new recipe required.
We will have lots of family in town at the end of this week, as my daughter turns 3 on Wednesday! She’s growing up so fast. Her favorite pastime lately is singing. I love hearing her belt out “Let it Go” from her current favorite movie. I asked her what she wanted for her birthday meal, and she responded “Quesadillas!” 🙂 I’ll be sure to make her some quesadillas this week, but I think I’ll make her my favorite birthday meal when our family is in town: Fried chicken!
