Are you surprised that I only made one of the new recipes from last week? I’m starting to think maybe I should call these weekly menu “suggestions” 🙂 We weren’t feeling the soup, so I made shrimp lo mein instead. We also ended up going out to eat for a friend’s 30th birthday, so I made macaroni and cheese for the kids and the babysitter instead of the taco bowls, because I wanted to make sure it would be something they knew they liked.
I am going to try a new chicken dish this week, but basically not really make it like it says to at all: I am not a huge fan of making things in foil unless necessary, I’ll use the veggies we already have, and I’ll cook regular rice. And the sriracha will only go on me & my husband’s portions 🙂 For the kielbasa dish, I will be using dried spaetzle instead of making it as the recipe suggests.
