Chocolate Covered Popcorn is another quick and easy snack that doesn’t involve turning on the oven… my favorite kind of recipe in the hot summer months! This isn’t just a summer recipe, though. You can customize it for any time of the year. Use holiday-colored candies to make it festive. Add your favorite things in, like pretzels or almonds. It can be as simple or as complex as you like. Regardless, it will be totally addicting and delicious.
Here is what you need: popcorn, cereal, candies, almond bark, and peanut butter.
Melt the almond bark in the microwave on high, stirring every 15 seconds.
Once melted, add the peanut butter and stir well.
In a large bowl, combine the popped popcorn, cereal, and candies (or nuts). Pour chocolate mixture over popcorn and stir well.
Spread popcorn out on waxed paper and let dry. Store in an airtight container.
