We are back from our long-weekend trip to the lake! We were treated by my in-laws to a meal out at a German restaurant that was quite good. They had a great view and multiple hummingbird feeders that were quite busy! The best part about the weekend, however, was the time that we were able to spend with our family and friends. It’s always great to get together for no other reason than to just relax and have fun! We came back home to a garden FULL of cucumbers and green beans. I made 3 quarts and 6 pints of pickles last night. Add those to the ones I’ve already canned, and I think we will be good for the next year! Time to find some more cucumber recipes…
Now that we’re back at home (hard to believe preschool starts tomorrow!), it’s going to be a busy week. I didn’t have much time to look up new recipes that I want to try, so I am not being very adventurous in the kitchen this week. Maybe this upcoming weekend I will have some time to browse online for new recipes, and perhaps find some that use cucumbers 😉
