This has to be one of my favorite quick dinners. I love to keep homemade chili on hand in the freezer so I can put these together when the mood strikes!
Here’s what you need… Tortillas, chili, cheese, and corn chips.
These new Stand ‘n Stuff shells are pretty cool. My two children had a much easier time holding on to these chili pies as compared to just a regular flour tortilla!
Heat the chili according to the directions if you’re using a pre-made chili. Assemble the pies by placing corn chips inside the tortilla.
Layer with hot chili and top with shredded cheese.
Enjoy immediately!
Frito Chili Pie
Servings 8 Chili Pies
Ingredients
- 1 bag corn chips
- 2 15-oz cans chili or one recipe of my Grandma's Chili!
- 1 cup shredded cheese cheddar, Monterey Jack, etc., or a blend
- 1 package Old El Paso Stand & Stuff Flour Tortillas
Instructions
- Heat chili according to directions. Assemble pies by placing corn chips inside the tortilla. Layer with hot chili and top with shredded cheese. Serve immediately.
