We had a great (quick!) trip back to my hometown last week. We were treated to a few things that we usually only get when we visit my folks… Brisket for dinner, and waffles for breakfast! My dad does an amazing job smoking meats, so it’s a special treat. And, they also have a certain appliance that I do not– a waffle iron 😉 It’s on my wish list…
I am feeling like trying some new recipes now that things are slowing down, and I am looking forward to experimenting in the kitchen. This week, it’s four new dinner recipes. One was shared by a reader last week (yay, another use for cucumbers!!) and another is a recipe posted by a friend of mine (who has been blogging every day in July… I’m so impressed and I love reading her posts!).
