Last week we stuck to our menu plan 100%! The 3 new recipes that I tried were mostly good. The sweet and sour chicken I will probably make again, but keep a closer eye on in the oven. The sauce caramelized on me, and not in a good way! I think if I would have taken it out just a little sooner (or added the sauce later in the oven). We didn’t really care for the stromboli, as the dough around the filling was kind of soggy. The ravioli was just OK, and I might make it again if I have extra ravioli for some reason.
This week, it’s just one new recipe for us, but I’m excited to be cooking with things we have on hand!
Dinners
Cheeseburger Soup
Chicken Taquitos
Honey Lime Shrimp (new recipe to us!), rice
Stuffed Shells, garlic bread
Bierocks (from the freezer)
Dinner at a friend’s house
Dinner out

They have a tradition of eating butterball and noodle soup, which is a variation of chicken noodle soup. The butterballs are spiced dumplings made with cream, that almost look like meatballs. My husband and my brother-in-law have been known to quibble every Christmas over who got more butterballs in their soup! […]
