First of all, Happy Birthday, Mom! I hope you’re having a great day, and we all love you so much 🙂
One of my favorite things to keep on hand in my freezer is a giant bag full of meatballs. They are so versatile. You can add them to a spaghetti sauce and have spaghetti & meatballs, or Italian meatball subs. You can add them to barbecue sauce and have barbecue meatballs. You can make Swedish Meatballs. This baked meatballs recipe doesn’t rely too much on one flavor, so they can be used for just about anything you’d like to use meatballs in. You can even throw frozen meatballs in sauces while they are cooking for a super quick meal. I think you’ll like having the convenience of meatballs at the ready!
Combine all ingredients in a large bowl with clean hands. You want them all combined, but you don’t want to over-work the mixture, or the meatballs will be tough.
Roll into ping-pong ball-sized meatballs and place 1 inch apart on greased baking sheets.
Bake until cooked through. Use immediately, or cool and freeze for later use.

I love having a few bags of meatballs in the freezer! It’s perfect for those it’s-seven-pm-and-I-don’t-know-what-I’m-making kinds of nights.
I completely agree! They are so handy because they are so versatile.
I added some minced onion, but other than that followed the recipe. They were delicious on their own, and I cannot wait to try them as Sweedish meatballs this week! Thanks for the great and simple recipe.
I sometimes add onion, too 🙂 I hope you enjoy the Swedish meatball recipe– it is a family favorite in this house!
